Assessment & Reporting
Our school believes that assessment is carried out both of learning and for learning.
Assessment of learning, both in summative and formative forms, is external (NAPLAN) and internal with the Australian Curriculum Achievement Standards guiding the process. This assessment is used to inform parents by formal and informal means and include Student Reports (Semester 1 and 2), NAPLAN Reports, parent/teacher interviews and Learning Profile Books/Folders.
Assessment for learning informs staff of the individual progress of students and the effectiveness of the learning unit of work. With this feedback the learning program can be adapted to ensure it becomes more meaningful and valuable both during and after the unit is taught.
