Curriculum

Our curriculum is based on the standards and guidelines set by national and State authorities, and is complemented by the Christian Studies curriculum developed by the Lutheran Church of Australia. Every effort is made to ensure the educational experience of students is pertinent to individual needs. Planning, programming, evaluation and assessment are developed from the South Australian Curriculum, Standards and Accountability Framework, and as a complete school plan.

Curriculum is a developmental process, and staff continuously update approaches, content, resources, and strategies in all areas of education, keeping abreast of current trends and developments. We remain mindful of the changing needs of society, and carefully evaluate new aspects of education. Recent curriculum professional development by staff has included such innovative programs as First Steps Spelling, MLATS (Maths Learning and Teaching for success), Critical Literacy, and Middle Years Literacy (Reading).
